Communication Tools in Quality Environmental
The Responsiveness You Need in an Emergency
No matter what the emergency—whether it is a chemical spill, water main breakage or discovering lead or asbestos while in the middle of a construction project—there is nothing more frustrating than making a call that does not get immediate attention.
For more than 12 years, the Quality Environmental Emergency Response Team has provided clients with prompt and reliable services 24/7/365.
How are we able to do this?
It starts by maintaining excellent communication within our organization so that we are always prepared to respond to your needs.
We have weekly and or monthly meetings of, literally, every department within the company, including:
There is never a time when “the left-hand does not know what the right hand is doing.”
- Is the remediation equipment in working condition? Check.
- Do we have the appropriate supplies available for any call-out at a moment’s notice? Check.
- What about filters, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, vacuums, and more? Check.
- Are the safety devices and equipment for employees, like filters, masks and hazmat suits adequate for our needs? Check.
- The list goes on.
How do we ensure the quality of our services?
We focus on quality service by focusing on the following aspects of our operation:
Firstly, we keep in good, continuous communication with each other, not only at our regularly scheduled weekly and monthly meetings for each of our departments but with daily planning meetings between supervisors and staff for every project. These clearly lay out the tasks that need to be performed that day, any issues that may need to be considered, and how each task will be completed in a timely fashion, meeting our standards for quality.
Secondly, we keep in good, solid communication with all of our clients and customers. Situations, conditions, and needs can change—sometimes quickly and very unexpectedly. Our goal is to keep abreast of the current scene and handle what needs to be done as quickly as possible.
“Repetition is the mother of skill.” Every month, our staff drills the techniques needed to stay at the top of their game. While this is unquestionably the most important reason for the monthly training, it has an additional benefit: Our employees become more and more familiar with each other in specific situations—some of which may not come up all that often—so that, whatever the scenario, they can act, as a team, like a well-oiled machine.
Another point is that technology and equipment are constantly changing. The monthly training is an opportunity to introduce new procedures that will allow us consistently to offer state-of-the-art services to our clients.
