In December 2018, a pipe burst on one of the top floors in a courthouse, causing water leaks in several lower floors. The water leaked through asbestos fireproofing and needed immediate removal. All employees were evacuated immediately. Quality Environmental came in to perform an emergency clean-up of fireproofing debris and to clean asbestos-contaminated courthouse inventory and personal items across several floors.
Due to file contamination, we needed to scan and shred each file within the containment, wearing full protective gear (Personal Protective Equipment). We bought a scanner and shredder specifically for this project, and when the project was completed, we disposed of them due to contamination.
